IRONDALE — Beginning at approximately 9 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will perform bridge inspections on the I-20 bridge ramps (MP 137.010) over I-459.
This operation will require an outside lane to be closed during the bridge inspection. The eastbound off-ramp bridge will be inspected first, followed by the inspection of the westbound off-ramp bridge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Motorists are requested to use alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this maintenance operation to keep Alabama’s roadways safe.
