JEFFERSON COUNTY — Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the inside left lane at 7 p.m. and center lane at 8 p.m. or outside right lane at 7 p.m. and center lane at 8 p.m. of I-20 eastbound or westbound for Asphalt Overlay between Milepost 130.595 (1st Avenue North Bridge) and Milepost 132.69 (US 78 in Leeds).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, September 26.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, September 26, through Friday, September 30.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
