TRUSSVILLE — The Milo’s Burger, located in Trussville, is hosting a Hometown Heroes Eating Contest on Friday, September 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the eating contest will start at 11:30 a.m.
There are currently four contestants from the local area competing in the contest:
- Matt Richardson (Fire/EMT);
- Garrett Allen (Fire/EMT);
- Christian Gonzales (Fire/EMT);
- Jordan Thomas (Police); and
- Steven Sparks (Police).
Each contestant will get the largest meal Milo’s has to offer. They will compete against one another and the clock to finish the entire meal as fast as possible. The first person to finish the full plate gets a Milo’s gift card, swag and is automatically entered in a drawing for a chance to win tickets to the SEC championship game in Atlanta. To make the stakes even higher – the winner will also receive $250 to be donated to a charity of their choice.
THE MEAL:
- Double Thick Burger
- 11 oz of pure ground beef
- 3 slices of cheese
- Pickles
- Onions
- Ketchup
- Mayo
- Toasted bun
- Large Fry
- Mega Tea
- Apple Pie
The event is invite only, and those attending will have the opportunity to sample both of Milo’s new burgers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This new menu item is exclusively available on the mobile app. However, they will be permanent new menu items starting in October.
