JEFFERSON & ST. CLAIR COUNTIES — Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 15, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right or left lanes of I-20 westbound for Paving Work between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
Travel lanes are expected to reopen at approximately 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday, May 16.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday, May 16, through Sunday, May 22.
Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 15, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right or left lanes of I-20 eastbound for Paving Work between the Leeds exit (Milepost 140) and just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148).
All travel lanes are expected to reopen at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, May 16.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Monday night, May 16, through Sunday morning, May 22.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
