JEFFERSON COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Midfield man on Tuesday, February 1, at approximately 7:08 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Joseph Holloman, 64, was fatally injured when the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned. The crash occurred on Interstate 59 near the 119-mile marker, one mile from Midfield.
Holloman was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
