SPRINGVILLE — Big Springs Veterinary Clinic has announced its opening on Highway 11 in Springville. Specializing in modern care and a customer-centric approach, Big Springs Veterinary Clinic will be offering patient care on Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“I am excited to start building relationships and continuing others with pets and their families here in the Springville community,” said Dr. Jonathan Elliott. “With state of the art equipment and a passion for service, I am proud to be able to offer such high-quality vet care in my community for years to come.”

Specializing in preventative care, vaccinations, dental and surgery for pets in all age ranges, Dr. Elliot says the clinic was built for compassion and innovation. Dr. Elliott has served the surrounding community for the past eight (8) years at Deerfoot Animal Clinic. Dr. Elliott is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating, he worked in Mixed Animal Medicine in Cleveland, Mississippi followed by Emergency Medicine at Veterinary Regional Referral Hospital in Decatur, Alabama. Dr. Elliott continues to bring his passion for client education, preventative medicine and experience in emergency care to the Springville and surrounding communities.
Locally owned and operated, Big Springs Veterinary Clinic delivers a full scope of services such as preventative care, boarding, dentistry, surgery, and ultrasound. Dr. Elliott plans to roll out patient-focused services in the coming months, which include at home visits to the Springville community.
“As a Springville resident, I saw an opportunity to serve the Springville community, presenting a new approach to veterinary services and treatments,” said Elliott. “I want to treat our clients and pet patients as if they are family, communicating clearly, offering the best treatment, while providing honest, professional advice. I want Big Springs Veterinary Clinic to become a pet’s home away from home.”
