LEEDS — Young Professionals Leeds Area is excited to announce its kickoff social event scheduled for Wednesday, September 22 at 6 p.m. This is a casual event to explore feasibility for a new YP group and will be held at Rails and Ales, 1210 6th Street in historic downtown Leeds.
With the city of Leeds growing and poised to continually attract young professionals to live, work and start up new businesses, the climate seems right to develop a YP organization to meet the needs of young professional people in this demographic.
The age range for the group is from 21 to 45 for professionals in the greater Leeds area.
The new YPLA organization is in partnership with the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and will work under the leadership of the chamber. Board members, Kayla Jones with Merch Boutique and Tiffiany Abel Ward with Millennial Bank and Magic City Minibar are the main organizers to lead this group forward.
Jones and Ward will have a lot of exciting things to share at the kickoff with plans of regular socials, community projects and support for our local non-profit organizations to make a difference in Leeds.
