TRUSSVILLE — The victory lap continues and the pile of postseason accolades seems to climb higher with each passing day.
On Sunday night, the heap grew a little taller with the announcement of the 2021 Alabama Sports Writers Association Super All-State Softball Team.
Comprised of the top softball players in the state, regardless of classification, the super all-state list includes three Hewitt-Trussville players. Center fielder Anyce Harvey, third baseman Jenna Lord and shortstop Kenleigh Cahalan represent the Class 7A state champion Huskies, who recently knocked off second-ranked Fairhope 16-4 in the state title game.
The Hewitt trio, each of which were first-teamers on the Class 7A all-state team, join seven others on the super all-state roster. One of those slots is held by Miss Softball Annabelle Widra, of Spain Park.
