LEEDS — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man killed on Interstate 20, in Leeds.
Javier Vega, 48, of Locust Fork, was pronounced dead on the scene on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020.
Coroner Bill Yates said Vega was driving a pickup truck traveling west on I-20 when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck was then hit by a tractor-trailer.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
