BESSEMER — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office does not suspect foul play in the death of a prison inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility, in Bessemer.
Bobby Joe Wideman, 61, was found dead on his bed on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020.
According to court documents, Wideman pleaded guilty to murder in 1995 as part of a plea agreement to avoid being convicted of capital murder. He was sentenced to life without parole.
