CLAY — Things are looking pink this October at Piggly Wiggly in Clay.
The grocery store is using pink bags in order to spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to the CDC, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among American women. Mammograms can help detect breast cancer early and save lives. That’s what observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October is so important.
“We are showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness,” said Store Manager Jeremy Robb. “The bags are generally well-received.”
Robb said the store will use the pink bags until its warehouse runs out of them.
