NORTHPORT — A 58-year-old Northport man faces several charges in a child pornography investigation.
According to a report from the Tuscaloosa News, Hosea Taylor Watson III was arrested on Wednesday and charged with 10 counts of possession of obscene matter of someone under the age of 17. Watson is being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $300,000 bond.
Watson was taken into custody after police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 5300 block of Northwood Lake Drive West in Northport. According to the Tuscaloosa News, agents with the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force and the new Tuscaloosa Police Department Cyber Intelligence Unit executed the search warrant Wednesday.
Watson was a curator at the Paul W. Bryant Museum in Tuscaloosa. He has since been terminated and has been issued a no-trespass order by the University of Alabama.
