BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a double shooting that happened on Monday, May 11, 2020. Police are also trying to communicate with the suspect.
Two people, including a child, were hurt in the shooting. Police said they believe the injuries to be non-life-threatening.
The shooting happened in the 2300 block of 34th Avenue North. Both victims, an adult and the child, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police believe the suspect may be barricaded inside a home.
Officers responded to a call in the 2300 block of 34th ave north on two persons shot. One adult victim one child transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Officers are investigating possible barricaded suspect.
