UPDATE: Mom and 2 kids found stabbed to death inside Munford home identified

MUNFORD, Al. — According to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office, three people were found dead in a Munford home on Tuesday night. Additional reports indicate the victims were an adult and two juveniles.
Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore released a statement via social media that said the incident occurred on Roy Lackey Lane.
Kilgore said three people were found deceased in the home. The victims were not immediately identified.
The incident remains under investigation and law enforcement officers are following all leads, Kilgore said. Along with the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office, the East Alabama Metro Crime Center, the Oxford Police Department, the Munford Police Department and the Munford Volunteer Fire Department are participating in the investigation.
Kilgore also noted that law enforcement was aware of “several inaccurate postings on social media.”
