TAMPA — Former Hewitt-Trussville and current Auburn junior defensive back Noah Igbinoghene wasted little time leaving his mark on the Outback Bowl on Wednesday as the speedster took a Minnesota kickoff 96 yards for the go-ahead touchdown midway through the first quarter.
With the score tied at 3-all, Igbinoghene, a former all-USA Today Alabama First Team selection, displayed his speed as he darted up the right side of the field, cut through the heart of the Minnesota special teams unit and outran the Gophers to give the Tigers a 10-3 lead.
In 25 career games with Auburn, Igbinoghene has 88 total tackles with 19 passes defended, one forced fumble and one interception. Igbinoghene recorded over 1,700 all-purpose yards and 18 TDs in 12 games his senior year at Hewitt-Trussville.
