BIRMINGHAM — A man’s body was found just off a road near the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport on Thursday morning, Sgt. Johnny Williams said. The body was located just northeast of the airport, in an undeveloped area that was purchased by the airport.
Originally, officers were unsure as to the cause of death, but further investigation by the coroner’s office led to a ruling of homicide.
The victim has been identified as Adam Blake Warren, 36, of Trafford.
Warren’s body was discovered by airport workers at around 10 a.m. in the 8900 block of Eighth Court North. Upon arrival officers located a male subject lying on the side of the roadway unresponsive.
The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced the man dead at the scene.
