From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
Dollar General will join the CBD wave as the Goodlettsville, Tennessee, based company will soon sell products containing the compound found naturally in hemp plants by the spring of 2020.
The company will sell around 20 CBD products in 1,100 stores in Tennessee and Kentucky. Seven more states are slotted to begin selling CBD products, as well: Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Vermont.
The CBD products will range from ointments, face masks, creams and bath bombs. There are no plans to provide edible CBD products, the company said.
“At Dollar General, the customer is at the center of all we do, and the addition of CBD items is an extension of our ongoing commitment to provide customers with a curated and affordable assortment of the products they seek,” Jason Reiser, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said. “As with many of the products we carry in our stores, our decision to offer CBD products is based on customer interests or demands.”
