TRUSSVILLE — A student from Phillips Academy got a big boost for a charitable cause, from Academy Sports + Outdoors in Trussville.
Ethan Hill is only 9-years-old, but his heart is big and his good deed will now go a long way. Hill started a campaign to buy sleeping bags and care packages for the homeless this holiday season.
Academy opened their doors early Wednesday, just for Ethan. The store also gave him $1,000 to use for the cause. The supplies he bought will be donated.
Hill was able to choose from items across the entire store, including sleeping bags, gloves, cold weather socks, hand warmers and more.
