Funeral service for Samuel Rayburn Riddle, 73, of Center Point, Alabama, will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, in the Chapel of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama.
A visitation will be held on Sunday night from 5-7 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial. Bro. Joseph Thomas and Bro. Donny Thomason will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Low Gap Methodist Church Cemetery, Odenville, Alabama.
Mr. Riddle passed away on Nov. 20, 2019. Ray was born on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1946, in Odenville
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Ruben Riddle and Ola Mae Stephens Thomas; brothers, Nat Riddle and Winston Riddle; and step-mother, Elizabeth Riddle. Those left to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Tommie Sanford Riddle; sons, Jeff Riddle, Joey (Cindy) Riddle, Chris (Barbara) Wilson; grandchildren, Stephen Riddle and Ava Rose “Rosie” Wilson; sisters, Darlene (Jeff) Lyles and Margaret (T.L.) Collins; and many extended family members and friends. Ray was loved by all who knew him.
His presence and smile in our daily lives will be greatly missed. Ray was a member of 25th Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Center Point, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Ray’s professional career spanned 45 years in retail sales in the food industry. Ray was employed with Dunbar Sales Co., Inc.
