TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville’s all-time leading receiver, Dazalin Worsham, announced his college decision Friday afternoon to attend the University of Miami.
Worsham, a 4-star wide receiver from Hewitt-Trussville, made his decision known via a Twitter video.

The senior is ranked as the 13th best player in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports. He was previously committed to Alabama before changing his mind early this past summer. He made an official visit to Miami in June. According to media reports, it was Worsham’s relationship with the Hurricanes’ coaching staff that secured the commitment.
Worsham’s decision follows a week in which Miami lost the commitment of 4-star receiver Marcus Fleming.
Throughout his career at Hewitt-Trussville, Worsham recorded 215 receptions for 2,369 yards with 28 touchdowns. Save for his freshman season, Worsham caught over 50 passes in each season. During his sophomore campaign, Worsham hauled in 70 passes for 856 yards with nine touchdowns.
He eclipsed that mark as a junior with 87 receptions for 1,022 with 13 touchdowns. In that season, he averaged 85 yards per game and nearly 12 yards per catch.
This past season, Worsham snagged 54 receptions for 427 yards with six touchdowns.
He will next play in the 2020 Under Armour All-America Game. The game brings together the nation’s top recruits for a series of practices and an exhibition at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
