BIRMINGHAM — Senator Doug Jones announced he will participate in events across north and central Alabama on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.
Jones will highlight his efforts on trade, criminal and social justice and education.
In the morning, Senator Jones will deliver keynote remarks at the North Alabama International Trade Association’s (NAITA) Conversation on Trade in Huntsville. He will later give remarks in Birmingham at the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice’s annual Brewer-Torbert luncheon, which will honor Bryan Stevenson, the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative.
In the afternoon, Senator Jones will host a student town hall at Miles College in Fairfield. Seating is limited and priority will go to current Miles College students in attendance. Time will be provided for audience Q&A. This is the latest in a series of town hall events Senator Jones has hosted recently across Alabama.
