VALLEY – An East Alabama woman is dead after being struck by a tree limb Thursday, May 30.
Valley PD and the East Alabama Fire Department EMS reported to the 100 block of Church Street to investigate reports of a woman being impacted by a falling tree limb, according to WBRL.
Upon arrival, emergency workers came upon Erendira Castillo Hernandez, 31, who was being held by her husband.
According to the husband, Hernandez was heading to their car when the limb fell from a tree. Hernandez took the blow to the head and upper body, said WRAL.
After being transported to a local hospital, Hernandez was pronounced dead.
