SHELBY COUNTY — A former corrections employee in Shelby County was charged with custodial sexual misconduct after an investigation by the sheriff’s office.
Shelby County investigators received information about potential misconduct by Brandy Lee Gentry, 32, of Calera. The alleged crime happened while she was an employee at Shelby County Community Corrections. Detectives said the act was related to her assigned duties.
On May 25, 2019, Gentry turned herself in to the Shelby County Jail. She was released the same day on a $5,000 bond.
