CULLMAN COUNTY — Authorities in Cullman County seized one pound of methamphetamine and three grams of heroin Wednesday, May 1.
According to law enforcement, Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), investigators and deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested Jamey Eugene Arwood, 45, of Cullman, for trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities said CNET and CCSO executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the city of Cullman. After conducting a search of the suspect’s residence, deputies located approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine and 3 grams of heroin. Deputies also located and seized a large amount of counterfeit US currency and other drug paraphernalia.
“I continue to be impressed with our deputies making proactive drug arrests,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “If someone is a drug dealer in Cullman County, we will find them and arrest them. I would like to thank all the CNET agents, CCSO investigators, and deputies who worked on this case. Anytime you conduct a search warrant it’s dangerous, and I’m glad it was conducted effectively and safely.”
Law enforcement said Arwood had made bond.
