The National Hurricane Center is that Florence is just inland near Cape Fear North Carolina. Life-threatening storm surges and hurricane-force winds gusts will continue. Catastrophic freshwater flooding is expected over portions of North Carolina and South Carolina.
Florence is currently located at 34 degrees north and 78 degrees west.
The storm is approximately 20 miles south-west of Wilmington North Carolina and approximately 51 miles east-north-east of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
Florence has maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour and a minimum central pressure 958 millibars.
Florence’s present movement is west-south-west at 3 miles per hour.
