TRUSSVILLE- The Hewitt-Trussville baseball team traveled to Auburn University to compete in their annual baseball team camp.
The Huskies played five games picking up two wins Tuesday afternoon, two Wednesday afternoon and one Thursday morning to complete a perfect trip.
Head coach Jeff Mauldin was proud that his team came out with positive mindsets and how it correlated to winning baseball.
“We had four great players graduate in May and the guys knew that we may have been a little short handed but they didn’t show any signs of a drop off. These guys are a living testament that our process is full speed ahead,” Mauldin said.
The team did not dress its entire projected 2019 roster with some players at individual baseball showcases and some participating in football workouts as well.
“Under those circumstances and still come out there and play great baseball shows that we are heading for great things for next season,” Mauldin said.
