HUNTSVILLE – Facebook announced Thursday, June 14, their plans to spend $759 million to build a data center in Huntsville.
Governor Kay Ivey said the center will employ 100 people providing an average annual salary of $80,000.
In May, the company purchased 340 acres in North Huntsville Industrial Park for $8.5 million according to Business Insider.
The social media giant said the 970,000-square-foot data center will begin operations in 2020.
