BIRMINGHAM –Aggressive driving led to a three vehicle crash with injuries, according to the Alabama State troopers Office.
On Saturday, at approximately 3:27 p.m., troopers were notified of a three vehicle crash on Interstate 459 north bound at Grants Mill Road.
“Troopers responded to the scene and advised the commercial vehicle was laying on its side with diesel fuel leaking from the vehicle,” Corporal Thomas A. Whitten said. “At this time, all lanes of I-459 are blocked and being routed off at the Grants Mill exit. Aggressive driving of the passenger vehicle contributed to this crash.”
The truck driver and one person in the passenger car have been transported to the hospital with injuries.
“I-459 north will be blocked for an unknown amount of time,” Whitten said.
Drivers should seek an alternate route.
