BLOUNT COUNTY –The Alabama State Troopers said a single-vehicle crash at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday has claimed the life of a Blount County man.
David Matterson Sego, 38, of Locust Fork, was seriously injured when the 2017 Volkswagen Passat he was driving left the roadway on Alabama Highway 79 and struck a tree.
Sego was transported to UAB Hospital where he later died. The crash occurred one mile north of Locust Fork.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
