SHELBY COUNTY –According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office a 25-year-old Shelby County man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 24-year-old man on Sunday.
“Shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, Shelby County 911 received a call of a person shot at a residence in the 900 block of Paradise Cove Lane in Shelby,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. “Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies responded and located one person who had been shot as well as the person who shot him.”
William Pate Walker, 24, from Shelby, was pronounced dead at the scene and the Shelby County Coroner’s Office responded to assist investigators as they pieced together the events that led to the shooting.
Jacob Ryan Davenport, 25, from Chelsea, was arrested and has been charged with Murder. He is currently in the Shelby County Jail and his bond has been set at $75,000.
