BIRMINGHAM –Police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed in a residence in Woodlawn on Friday morning.
According to Birmingham police, the suspect kicked in the door of a home on 53rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue North just after 6 a.m. He then stabbed the victim in the neck repeatedly. The suspect had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.
The victim was transported to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and no information has been released on the suspect at this time.
