HAYDEN — A two-vehicle crash Wednesday night has claimed the lives of a Birmingham couple, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
James Kenneth Sims, 72, and his wife Dorothy were both killed when the 2005 Dodge Dakota they were traveling in collided head on with a 2002 Cadillac Seville driven by Jacob Chase Doyle, 21, of Hayden at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday night on Skyline Drive four miles west of Hayden.
Sims and his wife were not wearing a seatbelt, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Doyle was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
