CLAY – The Clay Public Library is gearing up for a calendar full of fall events for all ages.
There will be story time on November 1, 8, 21 and 19 at 10 a.m., and a special story time and book signing November 12 with local author Collett Keel at 11 a.m. .
A genealogy class will take place November 7, with instruction from the History Department of the Birmingham Public Library. Participants can learn how to use the library’s resources to search into their family history, and how to locate genealogy databases.
There will be a quilting class November 13 at 2 p.m., where participants can learn the basics of quilting with local quilter Becky Hanks. Participants will also get to discuss the possibility of further classes at the event
Other events include Game Day Saturday November 5 and 19, the “Science Lady” November 15 at 10 a.m. and toddler time November 16 at 10 a.m. Children and parents can play board games together during game day Saturdays, as well as participate in a trivia challenge and enjoy refreshments.
The library will be closed on November 11 for Veteran’s Day and November 24-25 for Thanksgiving.
