TUSCALOOSA –According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, 21-year-old Ashley Rose Newman, Mandeville, LA was arrested on multiple drug related charges on Thursday around 9:00 a.m.
Newman. a student at the University of Alabama, faces charges of trafficking in Fentanyl, unlawful possession with intent to distribute, three counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Police said Newman was charged after agents from West Alabama Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at her residence in the 300 block of 27th Street in Tuscaloosa.
During a search of the residence, agents recovered 23.3 grams of Fentanyl, a quantity of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), amphetamine, cocaine HCL, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Newman was transported to Tuscaloosa County Jail where she was held pending a total bond of ,581,000.00.

I can only imagine how that phone call home to mom and dad went this morning. I bet her family is proud. All that money on college tuition down the drain. Hope she doesn’t have any plans for the next 10 years.

Fentanyl? They cut heroin with it and it is causing even more heroin related deaths than before. Keep in mind that Fentanyl is measured in micrograms and they fond 20 grams. That is a lot of Fentanyl.
