I said it before ground was ever broke for the new school I was against it The area was wrong but imho the system did it for a reason I have my thoughts on it Time will tell I was right
Jennifer Chinnis Lawley
You think the location for the school was wrong? I’m not disagreeing, just asking.
Jason Reed
What does this have to do with that? And I think the school is in a great location.
Kelley Amberson Leamon
I thought it was Hidden Trace subdivision…thanks for looking it up.

My concern for the school location was the proximity to the dump. I really don’t understand how a shooting at 2:30am has anything to do with a school that is still under construction. I am not sure if anyone can speculate as to what happened until more details are released. But, I would love to know more since I live in this neighborhood.

What does a new school have to do with a shooting ?

Saying prayers for the police officer is ok and pulls threw this!

That’s just great! My simple life in a small town has slowly eroded over the years.

Sharon Dear Bernard was this on your street

It’s mind boggling to me how all of a sudden, this one incident turns a nice neighborhood into a bad place. Shootings can occur ANYWHERE. Besides, the details of the shooting haven’t even been released as of yet. I think these comments show that it’s less about the location of this crime and more about the location of your mentalities. SMH…

What happened to the police?
Kandel Gillison Bridges
Nothing happened to the police
Sharon Dear Bernard
Yes, two houses away! We never heard anything! They’ve been good neighbors. They moved here shortly after we did

Thank you Kenya !
Kenya Joiner
You’re more than welcome.
Laura W Garner
Seriously there has never been a shooting in Trussville
Laura W Garner
Don’t talk about my mentality!
Kenya Joiner
I’m not “acting like” I know what you’re talking about, I do know. More than you think. You said shootings are rare, not nonexistent. So, therefore you proved my point. Incidents can be rare yet, occur in the least likely of places. Also, considering that you’re going back to 1966 and having a problem with “change”, I don’t have to talk about your mentality…you’ve said enough.
Laura W Garner
You are just trying to provoke anger where there is none! So just stop you hate!
Laura W Garner
So Kenya Joiner do you live in Trussville?
Laura W Garner
Shut up!

Hey Shannon Bauza-Longshore. I’m pretty sure this is the neighborhood y’all were looking at. So thankful.
Shannon Bauza-Longshore
Yep! We were right down the road.

Would be nice if the paper would update on this

Lady, you are the only one here full of anger and hate. Where I live or have lived is none of your business. Furthermore, even my kids know better than to tell anyone to shut up. SMH…I have my opinion just as you have yours. The problem is, they’re different and you can’t handle difference. At any rate, I’ll “shut up” or as I like to say, BE QUIET and carry on with my day. You be good and blessed.

It would be nice if the Trussville Tribune provided more detailed information. I understand all details wouldn’t be made public when speaking with Capt. Jeff Bridges but certainly more than was written. You didn’t even mention if the parties lived at the resident. Did the “victim” know the assailant? Was it domestic? You say the shooter escaped. Was he in custody? If not, he fled the scene. Answers to these questions would have gone a long way to ease the minds of those that live nearby and possibly squelch some of the “sky is falling” comments.
Some of the comments left are a direct result of the poor reporting. Having said that, if the questions I mentioned were ask by the Trussville Tribune and not answered by the Trussville PD, then we have a different problem. If you’re going to report, then report.

agree and i live around the cornor from this . I ask this morning on their page for update and nothing
