CORDOVA – UPDATE (X2): All lanes of I22 EB were reopened just before 4 p.m.
UPDATE: Cleanup efforts on I22 EB are ongoing, according to Senior Trooper Jonathan Appling. The crash has resulted in one fatality. The name of the deceased will be released once next of kin has been notified.
ORIGINAL: I22 Eastbound near exit 70 in Walker County is currently blocked due to a major collision.

The collision involved two tractor trailers, and only one of the three lanes is open at this time.
ALDOT is on the scene assisting with traffic control. Motorists shoud use alternate routes if possible.
