From The Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
PINSON – Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is hosting a New Moon hike Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
This is the first program of the Naturalist Hike series.
Participants should meet inside the red gate along Turkey Creek Road, which is on the right, just before the main entry to the Preserve. Participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear, and they are welcome to bring a cushion or blanket to sit/lay on when hikers reach the observation point at the falls. Everyone is also encouraged to wear bug spray.
Everyone should bring a flashlight with charged batteries, as it is the darkest night of the month. Although the hike is free, donations will be accepted to support educational programming at the Preserve.
Stay tuned to Turkey Creek’s Facebook page for more information on future events and hikes.
