DECATUR — An Alabama Department of Transportation employee was killed at 5 a.m, Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on I65.
The accident occurred at the 335 mile marker, one mile north of Priceville. Two northbound vehicles collided before striking a parked ALDOT vehicle, and two ALDOT employees, both pedestrians.
One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene and the second was injured, in addition to the drivers of both vehicles.
Alabama Troopers are containing to investigate this case and have plans to release the employee’s names later Thursday.
