COLUMBIANA –Senator Cam Ward, a Republican serving the 14th district, is currently in the Shelby County jail after being charged with driving under the influence on Wednesday.

Ward, an Alabaster attorney, was elected to the state senate in 2010 after serving in the state house of representatives.
