Guthrie’s To-Go is now open in Trussville

The day many local chicken finger aficionados have been waiting for has arrived: Guthrie’s To-Go in Trussville opened today. The popular chicken finger franchise is located at 1104 N. Chalkville Rd., just off I-59, Exit 141.
The To-Go location offers The Box, The Snack, The Bucket, The Sandwich and, of course, Guthrie’s famous sweet tea in a drive-thru style restaurant.
“We’re very excited to add a Trussville location to the Guthrie’s family,” said Guthrie’s President Joe K. Guthrie. “We’re starting with Trussville and will continue to expand the Guthrie’s brand into the metro Birmingham area.”
Guthrie’s is celebrating 50 years of tradition this July, and the restaurant chain continues to grow. Guthrie’s currently operates 25 locations in five states and is expanding quickly across the country.
Guthrie’s serves a limited menu of fresh, hot, fast, Golden Fried Chicken Fingers. Hal Guthrie opened the first Guthrie’s in 1965 in Haleyville, Ala., and Guthrie’s pioneered the chicken finger restaurant concept in 1982. Today, Guthrie’s is famous for the Chicken Finger Box, Signature Sauce and sweet tea.
