PINSON — Rudd Middle School band members recently earned superior and excellent ratings at a solo performance at Homewood Middle School.
Earning superior ratings were Joe Potter, Ethan Cagile, Will Courington, Gabrial Clayton, Chridacia Rogers, Michael Stewart, Tannah Kirkland, Je’Anthony Laffitte, Alexis Dunn, Madelyn Weekly, Shaniya Zeigler, Zuri McDaniel, Ayana Penick, Jasmine Baylor, Hartford Long, Luis Jaime, Seth Conner, Nathan Brown and Desman Jemison.

Earning excellent ratings were Martice Smith, Crosston Hughes, Yusuf Hasan, Gracie DeArman, Chase Daniel and Ruykiya Ghee.
In other Rudd Middle School news, the girls’ and boys’ track teams won the Jefferson County Tournament. The girls totaled 184 points, besting second-place finisher Corner Middle School by 79 points. The boys tallied 168.5 points, besting second-place finisher Corner Middle School by 82.5 points.
