PINSON — Due to persistent rains throughout the area, baseball playoff plans have been put on hold.
Class 6A, Area 12 champion Pinson Valley was scheduled to begin its playoff series at home against Area 11 runner-up Walker with a pair of games Thursday starting at 5 p.m.

Clay-Chalkville, second place finisher in Area 12, was slated to travel to Gardendale to play the Rockets in a doubleheader Thursday, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Both teams will attempt to begin their series at the same times Friday afternoon.
