TRUSSVILLE – Head coach Jeff Mauldin and Hewitt-Trussville have decided not to go on their road trip through Mississippi this weekend.
Instead, the Huskies will stay at home for three games starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday against Athens. They’ll be back on the diamond Saturday morning at 11 for a doubleheader against Bob Jones.
Before all the inclement weather hit the area, Hewitt-Trussville had planned to play two games at Madison (Miss.) Central starting at 4 p.m. Thursday. The second game was scheduled for Friday evening against UMS-Wright.
The next morning the Huskies were going to play Spanish Fort in Pearl, Miss., before paying Brandon (Miss.) a visit that afternoon to finalize the trip.
