TRUSSVILLE — One company will be moving out of the Trussville Industrial Park.
Trussville City Councilman Perry Cook said at last week’s city council meeting that Voigt-Abernathy Process Equipment Specialists would be moving out of Trussville because it needs more space.
The Trussville Industrial Development Board is authorized to sell and lease property to industrial tenants in Trussville Industrial Park, where property is zoned for light industrial development and can be divided to suit the needs of prospective tenants with a minimum lot size of two acres.
The Industrial Development Board meets the last Thursday each month at 7 p.m. at Trussville City Hall.
In other news, Trussville City Councilman Anthony Montalto said last week that Amerex Corporation, located on U.S. Highway 11 near the Trussville Industrial Park, will soon be adding a warehouse due to expansion.
Located in Trussville since 1971, Amerex Corporation manufactures hand portable and wheeled fire extinguishers for commercial and industrial applications.
