CLAY — This isn’t what snow days are for.
The Clay-Chalkville High School campus was apparently vandalized sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday.
The front lawn was torn up by what appears to be a vehicle doing doughnuts. Mud covered a large portion of the school’s walls and several windows. The band field was also affected.

Sources said a reward could be offered for information leading to the identification of the person or people responsible.
UPDATE at 3:20 p.m. Thursday: Apparently the Piggly Wiggly in Clay also received vandalism, as did the disc golf course in Clay and a grassy area near the Clay Public Library. A business in Trussville on Deerfoot Parkway was also affected.
UPDATE at 7:30 a.m. Sunday: Clay City Manager Ronnie Dixon said a minor suspect has been identified. He had no further information. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office hasn’t yet responded to a message seeking information.
