CENTER POINT — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who allegedly robbed a pizza deliveryman of his cash and car Sunday night.
The incident happened at about 11:25 p.m. Sunday. The victim, a driver for Papa John’s on Center Point Parkway, told deputies the suspects ordered a pizza and gave an address in the 300 block of 26th Terrace Northwest.
When he arrived, he observed that it was a bad address. As the deliveryman was turning around to leave, two black males quickly approached him and demanded his money, according to the sheriff’s office. One produced a handgun.
He gave them $20. However, the suspects then made the victim get out of his vehicle and the suspects left in it. No one was injured in the robbery. The vehicle is a 2007 Gray Hyundai Sonata.
Deputies searched the area in various locations but were unable to locate the vehicle. The vehicle was entered as stolen and a lookout bulletin was given to surrounding agencies.
