TRUSSVILLE — The first Trussville Muscle and Fitness Classic held at the Trussville Civic Center on Sept. 6 helped raise money for Hewitt-Trussville Middle School.
Hewitt-Trussville Middle School Band Director Brandon Peters accepted a check of $1,200 to help purchase band equipment. Cross-country coaches Alicia Williamson and Matthew Michalke accepted a check of $400 to purchase equipment.

The classic in September featured male and female bodybuilders as well as fitness competitors and bench press competitions. Torre Washington was the overall men’s bodybuilding winner and Macy Armstrong was the overall winner in female bodybuilding and the winner of the female bench press, pressing 225 pounds. Tre Lockett was the overall winner in the men’s bench press, pressing 405 pounds.
