CENTER POINT — Area play will begin for Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville basketball teams this week, and Center Point is the first up for both schools.
Class 6A, Area 12 will officially be under way when the Lady Indians visit Center Point on Tuesday night. Coach Clint Argo and the boys team will host the Eagles that night at Mike Dutton Gymnasium.

The girls’ road game is set to tip at 6 p.m. The guys get started at 7:30 p.m.
Both Clay-Chalkville teams are scheduled to travel to Center Point on Friday night to open area play.
The Lady Cougars will take the floor at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
Hewitt-Trussville won’t see its first Class 7A, Area 6 game until January, when the girls and boys travel to Spain Park on the sixth day of the new year.
