TRUSSVILLE — To celebrate the Iron Bowl, Paine Primary School students participated in a friendly fundraising competition.
Students brought in coins to place in a bucket for the team they wanted to win this year’s Auburn vs. Alabama game. Each cent counted as one point for their team.

When the students put their change in the bucket, they also put their name in another bucket for a chance to win a prize pack of goodies featuring their favorite team.
Alabama won this competition 44,372 cents to 40,436 cents.
The students raised more than $800 for the physical education department to buy new equipment.
