TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council last week voted to promote Trussville Police Department Lt. Jeff Bridges to police captain, effective Nov. 1.
Bridges will oversee the department’s lieutenants, the investigations division and the school resources program.
Bridges worked as a dispatcher with the department from 1983 to 1984. After some time with the United States Air Force, Bridges has been back with the department for 20 years.
The city council last week also re-appointed Carl Chamblee Jr. as the Trussville Municipal Court judge through November 2016. Chamblee has been the judge in Trussville since 1984.
The council also voted to hire David Arnett as a building inspections superintendent and welcomed Drew Peterson as a new Trussville Parks and Recreation supervisor.
